In 2019, the Big Fix occurred in the Barnstable villages of Centerville and Hyannis. Now in its tenth year, the event mobilizes nearly 300 volunteers to make small repairs to homes owned by seniors, veterans and disabled residents. The event takes place in a different town on Cape Cod each year. Tasks done during the day include yard work, interior and exterior painting, repair or replacement of exterior stairs and fences, and light plumbing and electrical work.

This is the second year PSD has been involved in the event. In addition to monetarily sponsoring the Barnstable Big Fix, the PSD team of fifteen volunteers spent Saturday, October 5th helping our neighbors in need.
